Kings
Bay Modelers is an AMA chartered Radio Control (RC) airplane club
located in Camden County Georgia, the home of Naval Submarine Base
Kings Bay. The club is a 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in the
State of Georgia. Our members’ fly many types of radio controlled
airplanes and helicopters, both 'gas' and electric powered. Our flying
field is located near the Camden County High School and the Camden
campus of Coastal Georgia Community College (here).
We encourage you to come and visit our field and meet some of our
members. Saturday mornings (weather permitting) are the best time to
watch airplanes in flight and talk to some of our fliers. If you
would like an introductory trainingflight using my Eagle II with an experienced pilot on the buddy box, contact president@kingsbayrc.com or webmaster@kingsbayrc.com and we will do our best to meet you at the field
and let you experience the thrill (and challenge) of flying before you
invest any money into the hobby. If you have a plane and have
never flown before, we highly encourage you to enlist the help of an
experienced RC pilot (see our training page).
