Jeff's P-38

Club members are encouraged to submit  information and pictures to be added here, otherwise the only information I'll write about are the guys I  work with and fly with.  If you want to read about here, or DON'T want to read about it here, let me know! So here is the news I know:

We are still looking for members to help with a 'mall show' at Wal-mart one Saturday this spring, I only received one response to the email on this, (thanks Steve).

Gateway R/C (see our links page for site link) had a buddy box day in April and advertised it in the Camden shopper.  i think we need to do this also.

Jeff, Skip, and myself are met with the publisher of the St. Marys Magazine on Monday the 21st  to be interviewed for an article on the club in an up-coming edition. Should be great exposure. This is a very high quality publication available for free locally, or you can check it out  here.

Jeff flew in the Jax R/C Club war birds fly-in on Saturday, April 19. That is his p-38 above.  See more pictures of his planes on our photos pages. To see the photos posted by the professional photographer go here.  The maiden flight of his P-38 took place there and was really appreciated by all of those in attendance.  Sadly, on its second flight he got too slow on his turn to final , tip stalled, and pancaked into the woods.  See the photo of the results on our UGLI page.  So sorry for you Jeff, it was a great looking plane!
